A cloth dipped in herbal oil is kept on the forehead of a person. Then medicated buttermilk is dropped for an hour every day slowly by Ayurvedic practitioner on the forehead of the patient. The movement of Dharapatra is controlled by the practitioner and is poured on whole forehead.

After this a person is allowed to relax for a while then is given a hot steam bath with herbs.

Medicated Buttermilk is made by boiling milk with special herbs like Amalaki (gooseberry), Mustha (Cyperus rotundus), Yashtimadhu ( Glycyrrhiza Glabra), etc. Then a little curd is added to it and it is kept for over night. In the morning it is thoroughly churned.
